With the onset of the Halloween season, sugar-fueled youths across the country will scurry through the streets costumed as miniature Draculas while the undead invade television sets in the form of various vampire films. In the spirit of All Hallows Eve, ECW.com spoke with the most macabre Extremist, Kevin Thorn, to gain an understanding of the “vampire lifestyle.”

This weekend's ECW live events will be taken to a new level of extreme as the Messianic Paul Heyman will be on hand at Friday and Saturday's shows in Wisconsin.

The ECW event that was originally scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 26 at the Boutwell Auditorium in Birmingham, Ala. will now take place on the same date at 7:00 p.m. at the Gadsden Convention Hall in Gadsden, Ala. Birmingham will still be able to experience Extreme Championship Wrestling on Monday, Jan. 22 at 7:00 p.m. at the Boutwell Auditorium.

Tuesday night saw six of the Sexiest Women on Television face off in a bout of Extreme Strip Poker on ECW on Sci Fi. Hosted by the loveable albeit hygienically questionable Extremist Balls Mahoney, the Divas fought tooth and nail down through their layers of sexy lingerie. While Extreme Strip Poker may have ended in a catfight, the clear winner in this contest was the ECW on Sc Fi audience.

You may know Trinity as the sexiest member of the FBI who recently returned to in-ring action after recovering from being injury, but Diva has been around the block. If you have a penchant for wild women who live life on the edge, prepare to have your heart set ablaze.

The reaction on the faces of many in the WWE locker room on Monday night following Mr. McMahon’s huge announcement regarding the Cyber Sunday main event was that of pure disbelief. Cyber Sunday will mark a sports-entertainment milestone: for the first time ever it will be champion vs. champion vs. champion as ECW World Champion Big Show, WWE Champion John Cena and World Heavyweight Champion King Booker meet in the same squared circle.

It's been said that at ECW, the fans are the show. Proving that the sentiment still holds true in the new ECW, one fan got intimately involved at the ECW live event in Pine Bluff, Ark. Sunday night when his prosthetic leg was used as a weapon in an Extreme Rules Match.

At an ECW live event in Pine Bluff, Ark., Sunday, ECW Original Tommy Dreamer kicked it old school when he borrowed a prosthetic leg from a member of the audience to use in his Extreme Rules Match against Test.

The following RAW live event have been rescheduled due to the addition of ECW to the show: The live event scheduled for Topeka, KS at the Landon Arena at the Kansas Expocentre will now take place on Monday, Oct. 2 at 6:30 p.m. (originally scheduled for Oct. 2 at 7:00 p.m.).

Last week on Sci Fi, not only was a new breed unleashed, but a vixen from the original ECW was unleashed when Francine made an extreme return to the land of hardcore. The no-nonsense former manager to stars such as Tommy Dreamer and Shane Douglas sent shockwaves through the sports-entertainment world when she stormed the ring in defense of her friend Balls Mahoney and engaged in a classic ECW catfight with the bizarre Ariel.

ECW.com has learned that Extreme Strip Poker starring all WWE Divas and ECW Vixens will take place on a can't-miss edition of ECW on Sci Fi on Oct. 10.

This afternoon, after paying a visit to the Ron & Fex Show on XM Radio, ECW's Paul Heyman picked up the check for CBS Evening News anchor Katie Couric at the world famous Brooklyn Diner in New York City. A renowned anchor at one of the largest broadcast networks in the nation, Couric was reportedly thankful and "touched" by the gesture.

When the punk rock movement began in the mid-1970s, the status quo believed the underground, anti-establishment movement that rebelled against apathy and political and social wrongs would eventually recede into history… it didn’t. With bands like The Misfits, the Sex Pistols and the Ramones propelling punks to get off their Barcoloungers and hit the streets in protest, the campaign caught on and progressed.

Tonight on ECW on Sci Fi, King Booker makes his first appearance ever in Extremist territory. Outside of his SmackDown kingdom, King Booker and Queen Sharmell were respectfully invited to the realm of hardcore by ECW’s self-proclaimed “Messiah” Paul Heyman.

The passing of the torch or a lesson in respect? The Six-Man Tag Team Match at Worcester’s DCU Center on ECW on Sci Fi had the potential to be one of these, but it was up to the teams of Sandman, Tommy Dreamer & Sabu and Matt Striker, Mike Knox & Test to decide which.

On Sunday night at Unforgiven, ECW World Champion Big Show was without question the most physically dominant force within the 3,500 square-foot Hell in a Cell structure, mauling both Triple H and Shawn Michaels like never before. Though D-Generation Xemerged victorious from the biggest, baddest Hell in a Cell Match of all time, both Hell in a Cell veterans left Toronto brutalized and bloodstained by Big Show – the first Extremist to ever compete in this type of match.

While September brings sports, fun activities and ideal weather conditions, it is also notorious for welcoming the start of school. By the time Tuesday, Sept. 5 rolled around, almost every student in the United States was back in the classroom. For Matt Striker, ECW Extremist and former New York City school teacher, it is the most wonderful time of the year.

The arena lights blackened in the historic, venerated Madison Square Garden and nearly 16,000 New York City fans loudly expelled the three letters that had finally arrived in the World’s Most Famous Arena: E-C-W.

Tuesday night on Sci Fi, the ECW fans will witness history as they watch Rob Van Dam and Hardcore Holly face off during Extreme Championship Wrestling’s Madison Square Garden debut. The history between the two competitors is brief but intense, and at ECW on Sci Fi, both men showed that intensity in the middle of the squared circle. On ECW on Sci Fi this Tuesday, ECW World Champion, Big Show will face Sabu in an Extreme Rules Match for the ECW World Title. The rivalry has been brewing for weeks, but the tension seems to be at an all-time high.

The following two ECW live events have been rescheduled for early October: The live event scheduled for Hattiesburg, Miss. at the Multi-Purpose Center will now take place on Saturday, Oct. 7 at 7:30 p.m. (originally scheduled for Oct. . The live event scheduled for Baton Rouge, La. at the River Center Arena will now take place on Sunday, Oct. 8 at 2 p.m. (originally scheduled for Oct. 7).

Monday night, ECW will break new ground in New York City. For the first time in the brand’s history, the Extremists will set foot in the hallowed halls of Madison Square Garden. While New York City has long been an ECW hotbed, it has always called either the Hammerstein Ballroom or the Elks Lodge in Queens home. But now, on Sept. 11, ECW will finally reach the Mecca of sports-entertainment.

ECW on Sci Fi was the top-rated program on all of cable television on Tuesday night, sending the message that ECW truly is back and better than ever.

In just five days at the Biggest Party of the Summer, longtime bitter rivals and former WWE Champions Mick Foley and Ric Flair will square off in one of the most brutal matches in all of sports-entertainment, an “I-Quit” match. Tonight however, at his old stomping grounds on ECW on Sci Fi, Mick Foley plans to send a message to the legendary 16-time former World Heavyweight Champion, and he plans to do it in an extreme fashion.

On Monday, Sept. 11, ECW will finally go Broadway. Well, technically 8th Avenue, but the metaphor still holds up. That night, ECW will be live in the Mecca of sports-entertainment, New York City’s Madison Square Garden, for the very first time. The event will be a taping of ECW on Sci Fi, which will be broadcast on the following night.

Sandman and Tommy Dreamer are both ECW originals that have always lived and breathed extreme. But a few weeks ago, something happened that both men agree was too extreme for some tastes.

This weekend, fans in Jackson, Tennessee will get to see two things that are loved in western Tennessee: beautiful ECW Vixens in bikinis and hometown legend Jerry “The King” Lawler.

ECW’s biggest Extremist came to RAW with a purpose…and when he left, an ECW Championship Match had been made as the main event for this week’s ECW on Sci Fi.

After two years away from the spotlight, former WWE Intercontinental Champion Test has returned to the big time. Back as part of the new ECW brand, Test will be looking to make the same impact now as he did during his five-year run in WWE. However, this return is one that many critics of the industry would have never expected.

Two weekends ago, ECW ran its first live event at the venerable ECW Arena in Philadelphia in nearly six years. This past Tuesday, on the 230th birthday of the United States, the Extremists of ECW once again returned to the promotion’s birthplace for the first live television broadcast since the April 1997 Barely Legal pay-per-view. And even for some of the men who called ECW home in its original existence, the return to Philadelphia was a nerve wracking experience.

Last night, ECW legends Paul Heyman and Tommy Dreamer signed copies of “The Rise and Fall of ECW” book at Bookends in Ridgewood, New Jersey. The signing, which was supposed to last for just two hours, had to be extended to accommodate the overwhelming number of people in the line. The hardcore representatives told ECW.com that it’s always fun to meet with the ECW faithful.

This week on Sci Fi, WWE and ECW World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam defeated the Wrestling Machine, Sandman beat up an obese male stripper, and Big Show manhandled Tommy Dreamer…again.

Tonight at ECW on Sci Fi, things will only get tougher for WWE and ECW World Heavyweight Champion Rob Van Dam. Just two days after successfully defending his Championship against Edge at Vengeance, and a day after escaping RAW with the gold around his waist, RVD will face ECW’s Wrestling Machine Kurt Angle in non-title action tonight on Sci Fi.

It was a close call in Fayetteville, but when it was all said done, ECW’s Rob Van Dam left the building with his WWE Championship in hand. Challenger John Cena had RVD in the STFU, and it looked as if Van Dam might be forced to tap out, but interference by Edge forced the referee to throw the match out, leaving the gold on Van Dam for another night.

Last night at Vengeance, ECW’s Rob Van Dam successfully defended his WWE Championship against RAW’s Rated-R Superstar, Edge. After the match, Van Dam challenged former WWE Champion John Cena to a title match on RAW.

This Sunday at Vengeance, Rob Van Dam will put the WWE Championship that he fought 16 years to earn on the line when he takes on the Rated-R Superstar, Edge. The average Champion would dread such an occasion, mainly in fear of losing the gold they worked an entire career to hold. RVD, on the other hand is looking forward to his first Championship defense this Sunday.

Last night on RAW, Extreme Championship Wrestling delivered on a promise from their spokesman, Paul Heyman. That promise, was that RAW would be under siege at the hands of the hardcore ECW wrestlers. Heyman manipulated Jonathon Coachman into giving him a dream tag-team match for ECW on Sci Fi, Sabu once again delivered a crushing blow to John Cena and Rob Van Dam made a 5-star statement to the Rated-R Superstar.

A day after the successful world premiere of ECW on Sci-Fi, an enthusiastic Paul Heyman sat down with ECW.com to discuss the ramifications of the newly re-launched brands auspicious debut. “Our first show has clearly sent a very strong message that there is now legitimate competition out there for both Friday Night SmackDown and Monday Night RAW."

Kurt Angle is arguably the greatest technical wrestler in ECW, and has a WWE resume that is second to none. He has accomplished just about everything there is to accomplish in professional wrestling, but his amateur wrestling accolades are also among the most impressive ever. Now, the Wrestling Machine can add one more award to his trophy case. He has been named the Greatest Shoot Wrestler of All Time by USA Wrestling.

This afternoon in Charlotte, NC, at the Vengeance press conference, Van Dam told everyone that he looks forward to defending his Championship. “I knew what I was getting into by becoming the Champion. I know this isn’t a prize I can hang up on the wall. This is something that I will defend and prove that I am the best. I am looking forward to defending my Championship in a WWE ring at Vengeance.”

This Summer, ECW returns to network television for the first time in over five years when ECW broadcasts live to the world on the Sci Fi channel. Starting on June 13th, and every Tuesday thereafter, ECW on Sci Fi will give fans the extreme action they have been craving since ECW shut its doors in 2001. Tonight, the new breed will be unleashed. At 10/9 CT, ECW will make its debut on the Sci-Fi channel. As announced last night on RAW, Paul Heyman and Rob Van Dam will officially celebrate the rechristening of the WWE Championship as the new ECW World Heavyweight Championship, and everyone is invited.

On Monday Night RAW, Rob Van Dam was officially confirmed as the new WWE Champion and accordingly, a celebration was announced for Tuesday’s ECW premiere on Sci Fi. Also, in response to the statements from Paul Heyman and Vince McMahon, John Cena made a statement of his own, taking out three of ECW’s most extreme wrestlers with a steel chair.

“This may be the single most important match of my career.” Those were Rob Van Dam’s words on Sunday afternoon as he prepared for his highly anticipated One Night Stand match with WWE Champion John Cena. Little did RVD know that just hours later, what was the most important match of his career would soon turn into one of the most memorable moments in all of wrestling history.

During the existence of ECW, the promotion’s fan base became known as perhaps the most rabidly loyal group of fans in wrestling history. Last year’s ECW One Night Stand undoubtedly proved that theory, and tonight, thousands of those fanatics will pack the Hammerstein Ballroom for another taste of extreme.

Tonight at the Hammerstein Ballroom, the intense rivalry between ECW’s Kurt Angle and RAW’s Randy Orton will reach its boiling point. Two months ago, Kurt Angle broke Orton’s ankle during the opening round of the King of the Ring Tournament. The injury forced the young “Legend Killer” out of action to allow his injury time to heal, but now that he’s back, Orton has revenge on the mind. WWE.com caught up with Orton earlier today to get his thoughts on meeting the Wrestling Machine tonight at One Night Stand.

USA Wrestling has named Kurt Angle the greatest shoot wrestler of all time.

The Champ has had the deck stacked against him more times than he can count, but John Cena will face perhaps his toughest challenge of his career when he defends the WWE Championship against ECW’s Rob Van Dam this Sunday at One Night Stand. If Cena loses to RVD, he won’t only lose the Championship from around his waist, but RAW will be without the WWE Championship as well. And to add insult to injury to RAW, that same Championship will become the ECW Championship.

The idea of “hardcore” means different things to different people. On Sunday night, two different versions of hardcore will clash when self-proclaimed co-Hardcore Champions Edge & Mick Foley take on two of the forefathers of the hardcore ECW revolution, Terry Funk & Tommy Dreamer.

On Sunday, World Champion Rey Mysterio will enter a world he hasn’t visited in close to a decade. At One Night Stand, Mysterio will defend his World Championship in what many are calling a dream match against Sabu in front of a hostile gathering of ECW fans at the Hammerstein Ballroom.

Last Tuesday, RAW Superstars Edge, Lita and John Cena caused a stir when they showed up on enemy turf at the world premiere of ECW on Sci Fi. The WWE representatives interrupted what should have been a grand celebration when Rob Van Dam was presented with the new ECW World Heavyweight Championship.

On SmackDown, Team ECW made its final statement heading into Sunday’s huge One Night Stand pay-per-view. Sabu brutally attacked World Champion Rey Mysterio, who minutes earlier had rejected an opportunity to join ECW, and Tazz made the shocking decision to re-join the company he once dominated.

When Kurt Angle takes to the ring to battle Randy Orton at the One Night Stand pay-per-view, something will be different. He’ll still be the same Wrestling Machine that embodies the new vision of ECW. Only this time, he’ll be wearing a mouth guard with the letters E-C-W on it to show his allegiance to his new brand.

This Sunday at One Night Stand, Joey Styles will return as the official voice of Extreme Championship Wrestling. Just over five weeks ago, Joey Styles quit his position as lead announcer of Monday Night RAW, citing constant frustration over the way in which his duties were to be performed. On Thursday, Joey Styles contacted ECW.com to give his thoughts on his return to the place he calls home.

And now Heyman is looking to deliver another crushing blow to WWE, SmackDown in particular, by trying to lure World Champion Rey Mysterio to his brand. Following vs. ECW Head to Head, WWE.com reported that there were rumors that Heyman was actively pursuing the World Champion. Well, according to Heyman himself, the rumors are true.

At Head to Head, the ECW wrestlers made a statement, grabbing any and all momentum from their WWE counterparts as the countdown to Sunday’s One Night Stand hit just four short days. The “biggest” news of the night, however, came during the Battle Royal, when the stunned Dayton, Ohio crowd witnessed the defection of the WWE’s largest athlete, Big Show, to ECW.

WWE and ECW can now confirm three matches for the WWE vs. ECW Head to Head special, which will air live this Wednesday on USA Network at 9/8 CT.

Tonight at WWE vs. ECW Head to Head, both RAW and SmackDown will battle sports-entertainment’s newest brand in a fight for momentum. In addition to Rey Mysterio vs. Rob Van Dam and John Cena vs. Sabu, 20 WWE and ECW Superstars will collide in a Battle Royal.

This week could be the biggest in Rob Van Dam’s career. For Rey Mysterio, it could be one of the toughest. Sunday night, RVD will cash in his Money in the Bank briefcase and challenge John Cena for the WWE Championship at ECW One Night Stand, while Mysterio will defend the World Heavyweight Championship against Sabu. But four days before ECW One Night Stand, RVD and Mysterio will have to face each other at the WWE vs. ECW Special on Wednesday night.

WWE Champion John Cena will face one of his biggest challenges to date Sunday night when he has to defend his championship against Rob Van Dam in extremely hostile territory at the Hammerstein Ballroom in New York at One Night Stand. If Cena can make it there, that is. Tomorrow night at WWE vs. ECW Head to Head, Cena will get his first official taste of hardcore when he goes one on one with the maniacal Sabu in a non-title match.

Paul Heyman has said that Kurt Angle embodies the new vision of ECW. To further hammer home that point, an open challenge was laid out last week on SmackDown for anyone from a four-sided, six-sided or eight-sided ring to face the Wrestling Machine at One Night Stand. Also, a pair of ECW challenges for One Night Stand were finally answered when Kurt Angle’s open challenge was accepted by WWE’s Randy Orton, and Jerry Lawler accepted Tazz’s offer for a one-on-one grudge match.

Last week on SmackDown, ECW’s Paul Heyman revealed that Kurt Angle has issued an open challenge for the One Night Stand pay-per-view this Sunday.

Last week on SmackDown, Tazz addressed weeks of ridicule and taunting from Jerry Lawler regarding both himself, and the ECW brand, and he did so in dramatic fashion. Showing the passion and the intensity which made him one of the most feared and intimidating World Champions in ECW history, Tazz issued a challenge to Lawler for One Night Stand.

Current WWE SmackDown color analyst Tazz has challenged RAW color analyst Jerry “the King” Lawler at ECW One Night Stand. In an impassioned speech from the broadcast table during SmackDown Tazz looked into the camera and told the King “I got one left in me, Lawler!”

ECW representative Paul Heyman told a worldwide audience Friday night that World Champion Rey Mysterio has accepted a challenge and will put his title on the line June 11th at ECW One Night Stand against Sabu! Heyman, joining Michael Cole and Tazz on commentary for new ECW Superstar Kurt Angle’s farewell match on SmackDown, said Sabu made the challenge and Mysterio said “let’s get it on”.

In a shocking announcement that shook the foundations of both RAW and SmackDown, WWE.com reported before RAW on Monday that Paul Heyman would be receiving two draft picks – one from RAW and one from SmackDown. While it may not be a huge surprise that Mr. Money in the Bank Rob Van Dam was Heyman’s pick from RAW, many WWE fans were left in shock when they found out that Kurt Angle had his bags packed for ECW.

It will be hard to live up to last year’s ECW One Night Stand, but if Monday’s RAW is any indication, this year’s incarnation of the extreme pay-per-view will have no problem exceeding expectations. In fact, two matches were already made official by the time RAW went off the air.
